A fleece that’s warm enough for winter?

The inside of your fleece is brushed, a method for retaining heat. The principle is simple: inspired by the fur or plumage of animals, the component's knit is able to trap air, naturally insulating. An added bonus is that the cuffs stop the cold air getting in.

Why a breathable fleece?

Perspiration is normal when hiking. This can quickly become unpleasant when moisture builds up under your clothes. To avoid this unwelcome feeling, we designed this fleece with a breathable fabric that easily wicks away perspiration.

What is a ret index?

The breathability of a fabric is measured by its evaporative resistance RET (ISO 11092 standard): The lower it is, the more breathable the fabric. Examples: RET< 9 (very breathable), 9 < RET < 12 (breathable), RET > 20 (low breathability).This fleece jacket has an RET index of 15.1.

A soft, comfortable, durable fabric

The durability of our products is verified through various tests. We check, for example, that our fleeces don’t pill, the colours don’t run and repeated washing doesn’t affect the properties of the fabric. A Martindale test measures the resistance of the fabric to abrasion.

A practical and comfortable fleece

With its light, stretchy component, your fleece offers great freedom of movement, essential when hiking on snow. Your personal belongings will be safe in the zipped pockets.

Dress properly for hiking on snow

To take on the cold, follow the 3-layer principle: 1) Technical, breathable base layer. 2) Pullover or fleece for warmth and moisture transfer. 3) Jacket for protection against bad weather. Make sure the outfit is breathable to wick away humidity.

How you should care for this fleece

Clean your fleece, turned inside out and done up, at 30°C on a synthetics cycle. Don't exceed a 1,000 rpm spin cycle. Avoid tumble drying to preserve the quality of the fabric.

We perform two types of thermal testing:- On the material itself- On a thermal dummy in a climate chamberThese tests help us validate our design choices and optimize the placement of thermal insulation where it’s needed most.

Storage Instructions

Store on a hanger or folded in a clean and dry place.
