Does merino wool stay warm?

On the same principle as animal fur or plumage, the brushed inside of this fleece preserves the heat effectively by trapping air. The cuffs keep cold air out so you stay warm during your outdoor activities.

Why is fleece so warm?

Fleece fabric with synthetic fibres to reproduce the performance of wool: warmth, thermal insulation yet still lightweight. It is soft, comfortable, dries quickly and lets the skin to breathe.

A soft yet non-fragile component

To guarantee their quality, our products undergo rigorous tests. We check their resistance to pilling, discolouration and repeated washing. The resistance to wear is measured using the Martindale test that subjects a sample of fabric to repeated friction.

A comfortable and practical fleece

The cut and stretch fabric of this fleece provide the freedom of movement you need when hiking on snow. Its zip pockets keep your essentials safe, while the warm hood makes it perfect for cold weather.

Dressing properly for snow hiking

To face winter, follow the 3-layer principle: 1) Technical and breathable base layer. 2) Sweater or fleece for warmth and moisture transfer. 3) Jacket for protection against bad weather. Make sure it is all breathable to evacuate humidity.

How to look after your fleece?

To machine wash your fleece without damaging it, choose a 40° max programme. Turn it inside out and check that all pockets are closed. Don't exceed a 1000 rpm spin speed to protect the fabric. Do not tumble dry.

Product Testing

We carry out 2 types of thermal testing: fleece material and thermal mannequin in a thermal chamber.These tests reproduce the mountain conditions (wind, humidity, temperature) that you might encounter. They allow us to validate our design and adjust the thermal insulation.

How To Measure

Chest / Bust: measure around the fullest part, keep tape horizontal.
Waist: measure at the natural waistline, not too tight.
Hip: measure around the widest part of the hips/glutes.
Inseam: measure from crotch to ankle bone.
Foot length: stand on paper, mark heel and longest toe, measure in cm.

Tip: for cycling and running, sizes run snug. For hiking and casual sports, true to size works well.
